Get to the Root of Parenting Triggers
Feb 07, 2023Sometimes it feels like we have these wonderful parenting moments that are sweet and truly a blessing.
And moments later, we feel a deep sense of parent guilt because we just lost it on one of our kids. I've heard plenty of parents tell me that they felt like even though they didn't like this pattern, they had no idea how to break the cycle.
If that describes your relationship with any of your kids, you want to watch this week's video :
In this video, I'm going to walk you through 4 questions that I want you to prayerfully ask yourself so the Lord can speak into your life.
I can do ALL things (including parenting this kid while remaining calm) through Christ who strengthens me. - Philippians 4:13
That verse is either true or false. It's NOT true only sometimes or for some people or in some situations ... ALL things means exactly that ... ALL things.
That verse sounds so nice and inspiring until I apply it to my everyday life and my parenting. Then it gets harder because I need to walk in faith and trust in Jesus. I truly need Jesus to help me parent.
So I want to dare you to watch this video all the way through to the end and then take time during your quiet time each day this week to prayerfully ask the Lord to show you the answers to the four questions I propose you ask yourself in the video. Once you do, I double dare you to act upon the answers and see if Jesus shows up (hint hint - He's gonna show up because He's faithful like that).
So go ahead and watch this week's video and then get started.
