Now, I say that I'm tired of the negative responses from my kids when I discipline them, but I'm not sure why I am surprised by them. Do any of us respond positively to discipline in our own lives? Ok, so there may be a few people, but not most of us.

So then, we need to start understanding that it is normal for children to react negatively to discipline ... normal but not acceptable. We need to help our children see the long term benefits of discipline. But how do we do that?
